Happy Labor Day!

Labor Day has taken on new meaning for me this year, as I'll be putting in 12 hours of work today. Just like I have for the past five days and will for another day to come. By the time I get a day off (Wednesday) I'll have worked 100+ hours over the course of nine days. To say I'm beat is an understatement. But I'm not complaining one bit. The overtime is something I volunteered for, in part because it earns me some extra money, but mainly because I feel an obligation toward my customers. I work insurance claims and with the earthquake and the hurricane things have been beyond busy around here. People's lives have been turned upside down as a result (ours semi-included -- I'll share more tomorrow), so I'm glad to be able to help in any way I can.

Mark will be enjoying a day to himself. After picking up all sorts of extra responsibilities at home since I haven't been around it's much deserved! And Charlotte will be headed to a friend's birthday party. Dressed up as a princess. So cute, I'm sure!! I hope you're able to enjoy this long weekend!
