Backyard Fun: Revisited

It finally cleared up enough for Charlotte to test out the playsand we bought a week or so ago. She began the experience totally relatively sane. She was cute and pointed out which room she wanted in the castle that Aunt Mandy made for her. She even helped make some castles of her own.

Once a little sand hit the patio things quickly deteriorated.

It was then that Charlotte realized that throwing sand is way more fun than actually playing in the sand. And no matter what the last picture in this grouping shows, she didn't even mind that the majority of it ended up in her hair.

And you know what is 1 million times more fun than throwing sand? Throwing sand while you sit in sand.

But why stick to sand when there's dirt you can play in? And why leave the dirt on the ground where it belongs when you can pile it in Aunt Mandy's hand?

Things got just plain out of control when Momma gave the camera to Aunt Mandy and helped Charlotte really throw the sand around.

And while Daddy cleaned up this:

Momma hosed off the monkey:

Yeah, we may have made more a mess inside than we did outside, but we had a great time doing it!!
