I spied these food face plates a while back at many different online stores. Under the guise of getting them for my kid (like I'd ever give a ceramic plate to a 2 year old) I've often added one to my cart, but never actually hit the buy button. I figured I wouldn't get enough use out of it, even though I think it's very cute and could even trick some hard to feed kids into eating.
Good thing though, because Kalleen from At Second Street has managed to DIY a set. Her version is just as fun to use, highly personalized (she made one to look like each of the guys in her family) and a set of 4 would cost only about $20 to make (and you'd still have porcelain markers to use for future projects). Awesome, right?!? Check out the step by step tutorial here.
