Watch Me Grow

I'm so excited about the new item I bought for Charlotte's room! It's a custom growth chart (custom in that it's longer than the one the seller normally makes) that features a growing giraffe. It couldn't be more perfect!!

Check out a detailed pic of the regular growth chart (not our custom version) here.

In deciding exactly how tall we wanted this chart to be Mark and I looked at a child's growth chart to try to get an idea of when Charlotte will grow out of it. We found out that at 2 weeks old (when Chuckles was 20 1/4 inches long) she was right at the 50th percentile for height. As a one year old her 30 inches of height put her squarely on the 75th percentile mark. As an almost 2 year old (when did that happen?!?) her current height of 34 inches puts her back at the 50th percentile mark. So basically, she's all over the place and it's hard to know when she'll reach the 60 inch mark the giraffe growth chart ends at. 50% of girls are that tall at age 12, so that's my guess for her. We'll see...
