You Are Cordially Invited

Consider yourself invited to the party! Aren't these invites cute? I was doing a google search of Peter Pan images and found this graphic, tracked down the designer and paid her a reasonable $12.50 for the image with our party info on it to print at home. The cost of the image and envelopes ended up less than what I would have spent on store-bought invitations. And they're way more fun!

Besides, there's not going to be much that is store-bought at this party. Time-permitting, I'll be making flowers for Pixie Hollow, creating waves for Pirate's Cove, putting together a bunting for Peter's food table and painting signs for all of Neverland. Between my sister and I we'll make most of the food (save for Chick-Fil-A nuggets, which just can't be replicated at home) and Charlotte will be dressed in a homemade Peter Pan costume. For now everything is just in the planning and purchasing stage, with little actually done. Although I did put together the kids' goodie bags over the weekend.

The more ideas I have, the more I think that I'm really starting to go overboard. Case in point, my plan for a rag quilt made from old towels for the Lost Boys' hideout (probably won't happen). But, ahh well, she'll only turn 3 once. And I'm sure that next year I'll be saying she only turns 4 once. Party planning. It's an addiction.

That invite is cool. It's so neat that you found it and the designer was willing to let you use it. Sounds like a really unique party. Can't wait to see how things turn out.
