Tag, I'm It

The other day my mom tagged me in her blog. The instruction is for me to share seven things about myself (thank goodness it's not 25 or something), so here goes...

1.
I have an unnatural, and admittedly irrational, fear of hot liquids. I'll wait for my tea, hot chocolate and soup to be nearly lukewarm before taking a sip. I'm seriously afraid of burning my mouth.

2.
I took dance classes for nearly 15 years and loved it! That's me on the far left in the white tutu.

I danced competitively for about eight of those years and have a box of ribbons and medals to show for it. I can't wait for Charlotte to be old enough to be enrolled in classes. She's already got tap shoes ready to go!

3.
I have two dream jobs. #1 - Working at Walt Disney World as a tour guide. The plus of that... um, being in Walt Disney World. Duh. The minus... this lovely costume:

Job #2 - Planning Walt Disney World vacations for other people. The plus... doing it in my pajamas from the comfort of my own home. The minus... not being in Walt Disney World.

So my grand plan you ask? Move to Florida, visit WDW often and plan vacations on the side. Seems like a win-win to me!

4.
I make up my own words to songs. If I don't know the actual lyrics I don't bother to look them up, I just sing what makes sense to me. My personal fave is a lullaby for Charlotte. It goes like this:

Hush little baby, don't say a word
Momma's gonna buy you a mockingbird.

And if that mockingbird don't sing,
Momma's gonna buy you a diamond ring.

And if that diamond ring don't shine,

Momma's gonna buy you a bottle of wine.

So, if the kid looks a little tipsy, it's just cause that darn diamond wasn't shiny enough.

5.
Much like my sister, I too am a wealth of useless information... about dollar bills.

For instance, did you know that you can fold and completely unfold a dollar bill approximately 4,000 times before it will wear out on its own? Did you also know that the largest note ever printed (in the United States) was for $100,000 and was used strictly for transactions between Federal Reserve Banks.

6.
I'm extremely organized at work. Everything has its place and my cube gets cleaned up before I leave. At home? Not so much. Bills and correspondence end up everywhere and there's no rhyme or reason to where groceries, etc are placed in my cupboards. I'm not sure what the disconnect is, but I have a grand plan to one day have everything neat and tidy. My current organizational inspiration... this panty:

. I'm a procastinator, hence why I've had the same plan for an organizational redo since buying my house five years ago. It's also why I wait until the last minute on projects (ahem, anyone recall a baby nursery that wasn't ready in time?).
